No discount percentage is shown unless both numbers came off that listing. More on how a deal gets on this page.

What we make of it

These mechanical outlet timers are great for automating lights and appliances, making them ideal for enhancing home security or saving energy. They are simple to set up, with a straightforward dial that lets you program multiple on and off cycles within a day. However, keep in mind that they are not programmable via smartphone or remote, which can be a drawback if you're looking for more modern features. Additionally, they may not work well with appliances that require a constant power supply.

Why this is a good deal

It is deeper than the typical Home discount

The median discount across the 194 Home deals we have live is 47%. This one is 53%.

What you actually keep

$10. A percentage is a ratio and a saving is money — on a cheap item a huge percentage can be worth less than a modest cut on something expensive, so this is the number we would judge it on.

Reasons to think twice

we have only seen this product once, so we cannot tell you whether the original price is a genuine going rate or a list price that nobody pays; at this price the shipping threshold will usually matter more than the discount; the discount is only a saving if you were going to buy the thing anyway.
