What this Amazon deal is worth

Rubbermaid Oval Plastic Vanity Wastebasket is $8 at Amazon, down from the $38 Amazon had on the listing when our tracker picked it up — a 79% cut that keeps $30 in your pocket.

The average discount across the 966 deals carrying a percentage on Ring In The Deals right now is 49%, so at 79% off this one is deeper than the typical drop in the feed — it beats 95% of everything else live today.

There are 187 Home deals live at the moment, and measured in dollars saved this is the 97th biggest of them.

We posted it just now, and it comes off the site on November 19, 2026, 30 days after posting. Retailers change prices and stock without warning, so Amazon's own page is the final word — confirm the figure at checkout before you buy.

No discount percentage is shown unless both numbers came off that listing. More on how a deal gets on this page.

What we make of it

This oval plastic wastebasket from Rubbermaid is designed for compact spaces like bathrooms or offices, making it a practical choice for tidying up without taking up much room. Its sleek design offers a clean look, making it blend well with various decor styles. However, keep in mind that plastic can stain or retain odors over time, especially if exposed to certain substances. If you prefer a more durable option or one with a lid, you might want to explore other materials before deciding.

Why this is a good deal

It is the lowest price we have recorded

Across 2 sightings of this product, $8 is the lowest we have seen it. The time before this we recorded it at $8.

It is deeper than the typical Home discount

The median discount across the 187 Home deals we have live is 49%. This one is 79%.

What you actually keep

$30. A percentage is a ratio and a saving is money — on a cheap item a huge percentage can be worth less than a modest cut on something expensive, so this is the number we would judge it on.

Reasons to think twice

at this price the shipping threshold will usually matter more than the discount; the discount is only a saving if you were going to buy the thing anyway.

Price history we have recorded

We have seen this product 2 times since we started tracking it. The lowest we recorded was $8 on October 17, 2026. Only sightings by our own tracker are listed — this is not the retailer’s full pricing history.

Every sighting our tracker recorded. The line steps because a price holds until we next see it change.
