What we make of it

This wireless controller celebrates the popular Pokémon rivalry of Pikachu and Gengar, making it a fun choice for fans of the franchise. It has comfortable grips and responsive buttons, ideal for casual gaming on the Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite. However, it lacks some advanced features like customizable button mapping or rumble feedback that more serious gamers might expect. Users should also consider the battery life, as it may not last as long as some higher-end controllers.

Why this is a good deal

It is shallower than the typical Toys discount

The median discount across the 229 Toys deals we have live is 46%. This one is 45%.

What you actually keep

$31. A percentage is a ratio and a saving is money — on a cheap item a huge percentage can be worth less than a modest cut on something expensive, so this is the number we would judge it on.

Reasons to think twice

we have only seen this product once, so we cannot tell you whether the original price is a genuine going rate or a list price that nobody pays; the discount is only a saving if you were going to buy the thing anyway.
